The 3^rd General Meeting of the 24^th Assembly and 61st Anniversary Celebration of the Taiwan Packaging Association (TPA) were grandly held and concluded with great success on October 6 at the Hilton Taipei Sinban. Centered around the core themes of "Inheriting 61 Years, Connecting the Globe, and Creating Sustainable Intelligence," the event brought together distinguished leaders across sectors and global industry partners to witness this pivotal moment as Taiwan’s packaging industry embarks on a new international milestone.

Dignitaries and Industry Leaders Gather to Celebrate as International Allies Attend in Support

This landmark assembly was a resounding success, featuring distinguished government leaders including Mr. Ho Chih-wei, Deputy Secretary-General to the President, and Legislator Su Chiao-hui. Their presence highlighted and affirmed the packaging industry's critical role as a robust backbone for Taiwan’s manufacturing sector and a key driver in marketing Taiwanese products globally. Simultaneously, leadership and senior executive delegations from core members of the Asia Packaging Associations’ Club (APAC) — including the Japan Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Association (JPMA) and the Korea Packaging Machinery Association (KPMA) — alongside representatives from internationally renowned exhibition organizer Informa Markets, flew to Taiwan specifically to attend the event, demonstrating the Association’s deep and enduring global networks.

Six Decades of Honored Legacy:

Presenting the Senior Member Awards and Packaging Contribution Awards

To honor outstanding enterprises that have been deeply rooted in the packaging industry for decades and have steadfastly offered selfless support to TPA, the Assembly grandly presented the "Senior Member Awards" and the "Packaging Contribution Awards," extending the deepest gratitude and highest respect to all recipient companies. These award-winning enterprises serve not only as the cornerstone that laid the solid technological foundation for Taiwan’s packaging industry, but also as vital pioneers leading automation and sustainable transformation. The Assembly expects the new generation of enterprises to inherit this craftsmanship spirit and forward-looking vision spanning over half a century, continuously injecting innovative momentum into existing excellence to jointly drive industry upgrades.

A Milestone 61st Anniversary:

Announcing Name Change to "Taiwan Product Packaging Association"

Standing at a new starting point marking its 61st anniversary, the Assembly ushered in its most pivotal historical moment — TPA officially changed its name to the "Taiwan Product Packaging Association" (TPA). Reflecting the reality that up to 60% of Taiwan’s packaging industry products are exported globally, alongside the global waves of ESG carbon reduction and smart manufacturing, packaging has evolved from sheer machinery manufacturing into high-value-added total solutions for global products. Through this name change, TPA fully promotes the "deep integration of products and packaging." Looking forward, it will focus on introducing recyclable materials to align with international ESG carbon reduction standards, driving equipment automation and smart transformation to strengthen supply chain resilience, and combining resources from international allies to empower brands — leading Taiwan’s top-tier packaging technologies onto the global stage.

Reflecting on 61 illustrious years, TPA extends its heartfelt gratitude to government agencies, overseas allies, and all members for their long-term partnership. Moving forward, the renamed "Taiwan Product Packaging Association (TPA)" will continue to serve as a vital industry connector and an international bridge, partnering with all sectors to deepen collaboration and jointly open a brilliant new chapter for the packaging industry.
